The Argument in My Head
A couple of weeks ago, I noticed that I kept having the same argument in my head every morning while I was in the shower.
EVERY. SINGLE. MORNING, I argued about whether or not I had enough time to put lotion on myself.
I live in the desert which means the air is extremely dry. Without lotion, my skin literally dries up, making it feel and look horrible.
Yet, I continued to go back and forth in my head about whether or not I had time to take a few minutes to take care of my skin.
There was that flash of awareness where I heard this going on and realized how ridiculous it was to keep this up. I realized that I needed to just make a decision one way or another to get my head space back.
That simple decision has made such a huge difference in my morning routine as I am no longer taking that head space to have this silly argument.
Instead, I am now using that time to imagine wonderful things for my day.
What conversation are you having in your head that could be solved by a simple decision? What’s the single, small move that can create a big shift.
Make it now and get your head space back for important things like creating a life you love.
Here’s to simple moves that make a big difference,
