Maxwell Maltz, author of the best-selling book, Psycho-Cybernetics,
once said that we will never rise higher than our self-image. Without
a fundamental shift in the way we perceive ourselves, we won’t be able
to obtain or sustain our new desired level of success.
You have a dream, a vision for a life that is much more expansive than
the one that you are currently living. It is natural for you to have
that dream. The world is designed to expand and evolve. Your dream is
the means by which you do this. So often we think that the results are
what’s important. The results are wonderful! They reflect the way we
are thinking and what we believe is possible. The greater gift and
goal is who we become in the process as we pursue our dream. Our
growth is the real gift.
This week, spend time imaging yourself as the man or woman who is
living your dream. Ask yourself, “Where is my growing edge? What
qualities do I need to develop in order to move forward and really let
this happen? Spend time thinking about who you need to become in order
to be a match for this dream. Then, take time daily to play this image
in your mind over and over again. As you do, you will come to believe
it about yourself and your world will begin to reflect accordingly.
Here’s to seeing your more dynamic you!
