I Fell Short This Year
I didn’t make my goal this past year.
I was all excited last year at this time, determined and ready to knock it out of the park, knowing that nothing was going to stop me.
Well something did stop me. Obviously, because I didn’t achieve my goal.
I came close and, in fact, was literally celebrating because I could see exactly how it was going to come about.
But then, there were several things that happened, unexpectedly, and my goal slipped through my fingers.
I spent several hours this week feeling REALLY frustrated and defeated. I mean, I teach this stuff!
But because I teach it and I stay in my own growth and study, I was able to take a step back and see it differently.
I realized that I was fixated on the end result and missed the whole gap in between where I was a year ago and now.
When I was able to shift my focus to see that space in-between, I saw so much good!
I saw the names and faces of the amazing people we served this year and the miracles that happened in their lives as a result of this work.
I saw the initiatives that my team and I started this year to bring even greater value to our clients and community.
I saw the 1,000’s and 1,000’s of dollars my company gave to charities.
I saw the risks and chances I did take and my willingness to keep experimenting with new ways to serve as evidence of my commitment to your dream.
And I remembered that we moved. Not just across the street but to a completely different state and environment. I left the place and people I loved simply because I was guided to do so. I had no idea the impact that single act was going to have on me.
I share all of this with you first of all, to show you that even with years of spiritual study, none of us evolve past these moments.
In addition, you also may not have achieved your goals this past year. You may feel frustrated and defeated. I want to help you reframe your year to see everything you did achieve so you can celebrate that.
It is so important to keep your focus on the good you did create and accomplish. I know when I spent those couple of hours circling the drain, I just didn’t have the energy or the initiative to get up and do anything. All I wanted to do was stay in bed with the cover over my head.
The problem with staying in bed covered up is that lives are not transformed when any of us are in that position and we are not living the life we are created to live.
If you achieved all of your goals this past year, I celebrate HUGELY with you. Congratulations and really well done.
If you did not achieve your goals this past year, I still celebrate HUGELY with you. You are here and still standing. And you get to start over today. (And by the way, you get to start over everyday! Everyday truly is a new day.)
I have my vision and have set my goals for 2022. They are bigger than my goals for 2021. I plan to surpass what I had planned for last year.
I celebrate where I have been and am excited about where I am going personally and where we are going as a company.
I invite you to do the same. Join me wherever you are in your journey. Together, let’s make 2022 the best year yet!
Here’s to your dream,
P.S. I would love to meet you personally, first to get to know you and to help you design a year you would love. If you are new to me or if it has been awhile since we have talked, let’s connect! Book a call with me at this link!
