Handling Discouragement

Handling Discouragement

Hi Everyone,

How do you handle discouragement when things don’t work out the way you want as you go for your dream?

Discouragement causes so many people to back away from their dream with such thoughts as, “Maybe I am just not supposed to do this thing.” Or, “What made me think I could do this anyway?”

But, not you!

You put a stake a ground and said, “I am going for my dream no matter what.”

As you do this, you expect that there are going to be times when things don’t go according to plan. You understand that the seeming “ups and downs” are all part of the learning process of building your dream.

Here’s a tool you can apply right away when you find yourself discouraged about something. At those times, say to yourself, “This is what it looks like as it is all coming together.”

This affirmation will help you remember that in order to create really great, you have to start with awkward and imperfect. But it is all part of the learning process. As you use this statement you celebrate yourself for the action you are taking, you begin to notice the improvements and growth you are making and you are affirming that you are in this for however long it takes because you could not imagine life without your dream.

Share the ways you use this statement as you go for your dream in the comment section below or on my Facebook page so everyone can be inspired.

Here’s to living your dream,

P.S. Know someone who has gotten discouraged and may even given up on their dream? Show them that you care by sharing this with them.
