Can You Really Have It All?

Can You Really Have It All?

Sometimes you have to be willing to sacrifice for your dream.

How many times have you heard that you can have it all?

Actually, you can’t.

You can’t have resentment and loving relationships at the same time. Nor can you simultaneously have indecisiveness and boldness.

You can’t settle for safety and security while taking that next courageous, risky step.

There is a law called the Law of Sacrifice. It means that you have to be willing to give up one thing for something else. Most people think that sacrifice means you let go of something good because you are being forced to settle for something less.

I suggest you consider a different perspective. As you sacrifice for your dream, you actually let go of that which no longer serves, to make room for a more expansive counterpart.

Bring your dream to mind. Imagine yourself living your dream. As you see yourself inside that life, note the habits of the person living your dream life.

Now, come back to your life today and notice the different habits you have that are incompatible with your dream. Making a decision for your dream means you become willing to sacrifice the thoughts and feelings and actions that don’t serve you or your dream for more expansive thoughts, feelings and actions that are compatible with the person living your dream life. As you do, you gain a greater degree of confidence, become willing to take that next bold step and you see your results change.

Share what you are willing to sacrifice in order to have your dream. Post it on my Facebook page or in the comment section below so we all can be inspired.

Here’s to living your dream,
