Beau and the Javelina
Recently, I was on a nice relaxing hike with Beau, my golden doodle, when my heart stopped!
A HUGE javelina went racing across the trail literally 50 feet in front of me.
Beau went tearing after it.
My heart stopped at that moment.
I lost track of Beau and I didn’t know if there were baby javelinas involved. I knew that this typically docile animal could literally become a beast in the name of protecting her babies.
I went chasing after both of them, the javelina and Beau and finally found Beau on the other side of a fence with no idea of how he got over there.
I was able to walk down an opening with Beau pacing on the other side of this fence and with some help from a fellow hiker, we were able to get Beau safely back with me.
Needless to say, I immediately put him back on his leash.
This caused me to think about how easy it is to get distracted and off the track of your dream to make an impact in the world. This is especially true if you don’t have a clear image of the impact you want to make or a solid decision to follow your desire to make your impact.
Without that clarity, it is easy to find yourself running down rabbit holes or chasing javelinas, as it were.
But, when you have a clear vision and a firm decision to follow that vision, you are so much more likely to stay true to your path and make the difference you know you are meant to make.
Ask yourself, how clear is your vision? How solid is your decision? Take some time this week to dig back into both. Share your insights and the thing you are going to do no matter what in our Facebook group Ultimate Life Now.
Here’s to staying the path,
