9/24 – Weekly Words of Wealth – Road to your Dream
Along the road to your dream, do you just feel stuck sometimes, not sure what to do next? I hear this from lots of people in my work and I want to share with you a really powerful tool I learn from my mentor, Mary Morrissey. Stop whatever you are doing and ask yourself, “What can I do where I am with what I have?”
There is always something we can do but we can get so overwhelmed with the magnitude of what we are creating that sometimes we just can’t see the next step or how one small step will make a difference. But every step is so necessary to the whole.
Recently, I was in a hotel on the 15th floor overlooking a construction site and I watched a man walk this long walk to pick up one lone board and carry it back to his original starting point. I have no idea how that one act will contribute to the whole but it needed to be done in that moment in order for that project to move forward.
There is something that you can always do in this moment that will move energy and restart your momentum. Take a moment and think, “What is one thing I can do where I am with what I have?” Write down all of the ideas that come to you, pick one and get going. This is how we bring our dream into reality.
Here’s to doing what you can where you are with what you have!
