Question for you. What is the most illogical move you can image yourself taking right now as you move in the direction of your dream? Let yourself think about something that just seems to be ridiculous. Doesn’t mean that you are going to do it, but at least let yourself think about it.
We have been trained to think logically, linearly, practically. But, your quantum leap does not happen as a result of linear actions, it happens when you are willing to take what seems to be a bold, ridiculous move.
Orville Wright climb onto this crazy contraption called a flying machine, and took flight for the first time. It was probably the most illogical thing anyone has ever done and here we are pushing the edges of the Universe with the Hubble Space Telescope because of his act.
Benjamin Franklin was willing to stand out in an electrical storm with a kite and a key to be a human magnet for the lightening in order to better understand this electrical power. Crazy! And here I am typing this in a lighted room with heat because of him.
Price Pritchard, author of You 2 says, “Quantum leaps require you to abandon the status quo. Instead of once again trying what you have always done, maybe with even more intensity and determination, ignore the usual.”
“you squared requires an abrupt change in behavior…You must do something new!”
So, what is your most illogical move? Make a list of several different possible actions, search the list for the one that really takes your breath away and then take the plunge. Your dream deserve your craziest move!
