1/22/14 – Weekly Words of Wealth – Start with the good
Recently, I was in a hotel room that had an older version of an iPod player. I have a newer iPod and iPhone with a more narrow connector at the bottom. When I saw it, I was disappointed that I didn’t bring my adaptor to be able to take advantage of having this great player in my room.
Well, when I got home from my trip and unpacked my computer bag, I pulled out the very adaptor that would have allowed me to have music in my hotel room. It was there all along. I had forgotten that I purchased it when I bought my new iPod.
Dr. Rev. Michael Beckwith tells us to start with the good that we can see. Start with the good that we have. So often we can become so blinded by conditions that we either forget the good that we have now or we can’t see it at all.
I want you to bring to mind a situation where you just can’t see the next step. Pick a situation where your ideas and resources just seemed to be dried up. Now, with a fresh pair of eyes, I invite you to list all of the good that you have right there. Look at your current resources in regard to that situation and just start listing them all.
Then, look at your list and see what jumps out at you to help you get moving again. See it, claim it and then use it to help you take your next action so you can keep building your momentum toward your dream.
Here’s to all of your good both the invisible and visible,
Felicia
