Things Water Can Teach You About Achieving Your Dream
On a recent trip to the Colorado National Monument, I was in awe of the power of water.
Here is a video I shot for you in that park.
What Can Water Teach You About Achieving Your Dream?
So much of our landscape has been formed and shaped by water. What’s so remarkable about it all is that water is not doing anything special to create the remarkable formations we now have. It is just doing what water does.
There is so much we can learn from water to apply to our dreams. Here are three important points that you can learn from water as you form and shape your dream.
First of all, water always flow towards a larger body of water. It is singular in its purpose and direction toward that larger unit. Nothing stands in its way.
The power of your dream is the larger body that pulls you forward. Your dream becomes your magnetic pull. Your vision has the power to form and shape the direction of your thoughts and your actions if you allow it. This then guides your ideas and actions which then creates your results.
Water is non-resistant. It does not fight. It does not demand that an obstacle move. It finds a way around or over or under the so-called obstacle. It is so determined to get to its destination, that nothing will stop it. It will find a way by simply staying focused on its destination. The nooks and crannies and pathways reveal themselves as water just keeps moving forward.
Where are you resisting a perceived obstacle? What would it take for you to simply step back and let the solution, the unseen nook or cranny reveal itself to you as you move around the obstacle? What if that so called obstacle didn’t have the power to stop you but actually caused you to find another, more expansive way?
And finally, water is persistent. It must keep moving forward toward its destination. Left to its own devices, water will literally move heaven and earth to reach its final destination. In order to stop water, it must be tightly controlled.
How determined are you to achieve your dream? Are you willing to move heaven and earth? The astounding thing I saw was not only the formative power of water but how it moved huge boulders that if it couldn’t go around them, it just moved them out of the way.
Are you so committed to your dream that you will move things no matter what?
As you are clear about your direction, non-resistant to any obstacles that will present and determined to achieve your dream, you too will create a remarkable formation called your life.
Here’s to your dream life,
