Poor in Spirit Revisited

Poor in Spirit Revisited

I want to revisit Jesus’ statement, “Blessed are you who are poor in spirit.” I have been giving quite a bit of thought to that lately as I look around my house and see all of my stuff. Maybe we can start with something as simple as just getting the stuff cleaned out in order to have more breathing room and to be less distracted. It is amazing how much time I spend looking through stuff to find something. Time that I could spend doing things like writing or visiting with friends or simply sitting in the presence of Spirit. This weekend, I commit to getting at least one drawer cleaned out. Are you with me?

Count me in, although our house remains in a constant state of flow–stuff comes in and out as though this place actually breathes STUFF! So thankful for your book being published, covering you and your father in prayer, and grateful for your friendship.

What a great thought and wonderful reasoning! I have a whole ROOM at home that needs to be cleaned out and organized to make for more breathing room and peaceful time! I have begun to read your blog now that we have attended two services at Unity Church of Life and enjoyed them both so much. I am going to buy your book, as well, and I continue to pray and meditate upon only the good for you, your brother, and all of your family this week and always.

    Bless you!
