Notice What Your Noticing
Stop right now and just notice where you attention was? Where was your focus? So often we just let our thoughts wander here and there with very little direction or control allowing them to be completely influenced by the information our five senses deliver’s. We know intellectually that our five senses are not to be trusted. We can look at the horizon and know that the sky does not meet the land creating a cliff. We know that the space around us that appears to be empty is actually filled with signals and wireless waves conducting all sorts of information. Yet, we allow uncensored, inaccurate information to fill our heads which then determines what we feel, what we believe, the actions we take and ultimately the results we create.
As you cultivate the skill to notice what you notice, you learn to challenge the information delivered to you by your five senses. You learn to ask the question, “What if that information is not true and what if the possibility that I am entertaining is really the Truth?” Imagine the difference you would notice in your life if you learned to consistently ask those two questions and then subsequently act on your new information with bold, innovated action.
This week, I invite you to notice what you notice. When you find yourself seduced by the observations of your five senses and feel yourself contracting into fear and doubt based on those erroneous perceptions, challenge those perceptions with the above questions Then take a daring step that defies the senses. Watch what happens as you habituate this new discipline. Be prepared for your life to take a quantum leap into the next sphere of possibilities! Please, keep me posted!
