How do you use your imagination?
Do you use it intentionally to imagine the kind of life you would love, or do you use it to terrorize yourself with images that would keep you in bed with the covers over your head?
Neville Goddard, the author of Power of Awareness tells us that our imagination is our salvation.
Think about that. He tells us that we can literally save ourselves from any difficulty, or challenge just by simply imagining something different for ourselves. We can change and transform any condition or circumstance by first imagining what we would love to see and experience.
Our ability to imagine different possibilities is the most powerful gift given to us from our Creator. We can choose to see vibrant images of our Ultimate Life even if our current facts are so far from that reality.
As you intentionally create and rehearse very clear images of something you would love, those images begin to feel real to you. The realer they feel, the more you believe that your dream could actually happen for you. You begin to literally identify yourself as the person living that life.
Once you start to build belief and an identification with your new possibility , you now have something to direct your attention, decisions and actions. You begin to see opportunities that were there all along, but not visible to you from your old state of believing. Your new dream images literally become your organizing pattern for your day and your do to list. Because you are beginning to believe more in your new mental images than in outside circumstances, you become willing to take on new challenges, and take bold, courageous steps. This consistent pattern of new images and new steps then turns the tide in your favor.
But you can’t just see something once or twice or even just in the morning and then continue think the same old images that match your current reality. To really transform your facts, you are required to live in those images continuously. It is this repetitive rehearsal that creates the new belief, new identity, new actions and ultimately new results.
