5/27/15 – Weekly Words of Wealth – How bad do you want your dream?
How bad do you want your dream? Are you so in love with it, that you could not imagine what life would be like without your dream? If not, then chances are, you will not succeed at really making your dream come true.
Napoleon Hill, author of Think and Grow Rich talks about the need for a BURNING desire, not just a wish or a hope, but a desire so deep that it will cause you to surmount the doubts and fears and the obstacles that appear the minute you start advancing toward something more expansive than your current life.
Here’s the thing, when you start toward your dream, every doubt and insecurity will start talking to you and left unattended, they will become the loudest voice in your head.
That’s why you want to be so in love with your dream that you become obsessed with it. Anything less than a BURNING desire will cause you to step back when you become discouraged or disappointed. You want your dream to be something that so lights you up that you could not imagine life without it. Only then, will you become willing to entertain the bold ideas and take the scary steps as the courageous, innovated, successful person living your dream, over and over and over again.
Ask yourself, “How much do I want my dream? Is it a BURNING desire? Am I willing to do whatever it will take to bring it about?” If there is a no to any of these questions, then go back and keep designing with your dream until it is a resounding YES! Only then will you experience a real sense of aliveness and real transformation that makes life worthwhile.
