Creating a Daily Pause
I spent two weeks in Bali on a spiritual pilgrimage with my mentor and one of the things that struck me about their culture was the way they paused throughout their day to pay homage to the source of all life. As a predominantly Hindu nation, they built rituals into their daily routines to bring themselves back to the awareness of love’s presence.
I walked into a small shop to make some purchases and a woman came out with trays of flowers that she placed at the feet of the statue in her establishment. She then took water and splashed it on the offering three times as she bowed her head in prayer. All other activity stopped until she completed her prayers. It was a remarkable sight to watch her pause in the midst of a busy morning and bring her full attention to her source of Life.
You may not have rituals that are quite so obvious but as you continue to move in the direction of your dream, what rituals can you put in place to remind yourself of the reason for your dream? These rituals remind us of the sacred nature of life and that our dreams are God’s gift and promise to each of us.
As we create times to pause in our daily routine, we are reminded that life truly is a precious gift and living our dream is the way we pay homage to the giver of all life.
Share your rituals in the comment section below or on my Facebook page.
Here’s to living your dream,
P.S. Know someone who would be served by this information? By all means, share it with them.
