8/6/14 – Weekly Words of Wealth – Do you have a right to be rich?
Do you believe that you have a right to be rich? If you asked me that question even four years ago, I would have scoffed at the idea. In my mind, rich people were selfish and greedy and very removed from me.
But, as I continue to study spiritual law, I understand better what Wallace Wattles says when he tells us, “Whatever may be said in praise of poverty, the fact remains that it is not possible to live a really complete or successful life unless one is rich. No man can rise to his greatest possible height in talent or soul development unless he has plenty of money.” He goes on, “It is perfectly right that you should give your best attention to the Science of Getting Rich…you can render to God and humanity no greater service than to make the most of yourself.” Think about that, becoming truly rich, in every sense of the word, is the way that we serve God and humanity because it is the way that we make the most of ourselves and contribute our best!
This week, let’s give ourselves to the study of how to increase our wealth and happiness realizing that as we do, we truly create lives of love and contribution.
Here’s to our right to be rich!
