Deconstructing the old and resurrecting into the new
This week is designate as Holy Week in the Christian tradition. It the week leading to Easter Sunday when Christians around the world celebrate the resurrection of its leading figure, Jesus.
Whether Christianity is your chosen path or not, we can all gain much from the meaning of this week. It is a week of deconstruction. It represents the process of putting down that which no longer works so you can develop and grow into a more awake, evolve version of you.
You have habits, beliefs and patterns that brought you to where you are. Your current state is good and you have done well. And yet, there is that in you that is continually seeking a richer, fuller, more expanded expression of who you are meant to be and how you are meant to live.
Even though the habits that brought you to this point served you well, they will not take you to your dream life. You must be willing to put them down in order to discover and cultivate a deeper awareness of just how powerful and powerfully loved you are.
This week is all about deconstructing the old and resurrecting into the new. Anytime we give one way of life up for another (even though it is a better way of living) it can feel like a crucifixion. But when you understand the process, you begin to trust and relax into it. You know that your own personal resurrection into your even more magnificent self is right there on the other side. It is the quintessential hero’s journey story starring you.
This week, whether the Christian tradition is your path or not, take time to examine what in you and your life needs to be deconstructed. What patterns and beliefs have served you to this point but you now know it is time to lay them down for new patterns that match your dream life?
Share what you are laying down so you can resurrect into the new below in the comment section and on my Facebook page to inspire all of us.
And by all means, share this with your friends and loved ones to help them step into their own deconstruction and resurrection process.
Here’s to living your dream,
